In this post we’re going to provide you with a quick and easy-to-read Leadpages review so you can find out its strengths and weaknesses and ultimately find out if we believe Leadpages is the best landing page builder in 2019.
So right away we want to make sure something is clear…
In Internet Marketing, building your email list is a crucial activity for your business.
While there are many ways to do this, one of the most effective is to have your prospect opt-in through a custom landing page.
It is for this reason that tools such as Leadpages and ClickFunnels (more on that later) are so critical in helping you to build sales and marketing assets that are going to be the lifeblood of your online business. Especially if you do not know how to code and so are not a web programmer of graphic designer by nature.
So let’s dive right into this Leadpages review and show you exactly what Leadpages has to offer.
Leadpages Review – What Can Leadpages Do?
Leadpages is a web-based platform that features a user friendly drag-and-drop page editor to help you quickly and efficiently build custom landing pages and pop-up windows with the express goal of helping you to generate a lead by collecting a prospect’s email address.
This is of course very helpful as you can essentially remove the technical barrier associated with being able to quickly and easily create professional looking landing pages.
Some of the core features of Leadpages include:
- Drag-and-drop editor
- Mobile responsive pre-made templates that can be previewed at any time
- Over 160 templates to choose from, many of which are niche specific e.g Fitness or Travel
- SEO friendly tagging capabilities
- Digital asset delivery capabilities
- API integrations to a variety of third party services (e.g. payments through Stripe)
- LeadBoxes opt-in forms that can be timed or based off exit intent
- Analytics and conversion tracking
- Ability to build websites using Leadpages Sites
While this is not an exhaustive selection of the key features of Leadpages, it does reflect some of the core capabilities and is representative of what ultimately Leadpages has been designed to do – collect leads and not too much more.
In this regard it is different to other tools such as ClickFunnels that have the ability to do a bunch of other things such as membership sites, share funnels, affiliate sale tracking etc. More on that in a bit!
Leadpages Review – How Much Does Leadpages Cost?
Leadpages offers three different pricing plans that can be purchased on either a month-to-month or annual basis.
Choosing to purchase an annual plan as you might expect entitles you to further savings:
- Leadpages Standard Version – $37 per month / $300 per year
- Leadpages Pro Version – $79 per month / $576 per year
- Leadpages Advanced Version – Not available monthly / $2388 per year
In this way Leadpages is actually cheaper than a number of other tools out there and one cool feature is that Leadpages also does not cap the number of visitors that can visit your pages.
Leadpages Review – What Does Leadpages Integrate With?
Leadpages integrates with a variety of third party platforms and services including:
- 1ShoppingCart

For this last one – WordPress – you can install the Leadpages connector plugin which will enable you to access the landing pages and Leadboxes that you have created within Leadpages from within the WordPress control panel.
Leadpages Review – What Templates Does Leadpages Offer?
Leadpages has a significant number of templates to choose from and more are being rolled out on a consistent basis.
Current templates include:
- Webinar Pages
- Upsell Pages
- Thank You Pages
- Contest Pages
- About Us Pages
- Facebook Landing Pages
- Checkout Pages
- And more!
Overall the design aesthetic of these templates is pretty good and you should be able to find something like what you are looking for.
Leadpages Review – A Couple Of Things To Note About Leadpages
As mentioned previously, Leadpages has really been designed to do one thing and do it well – and that is to collect leads.
It is however NOT really designed to do much more than that. Yes they are adding more features but Leadpages is not for example designed to help you send emails to the various new leads you have collected through your Leadboxes.
This means you will definitely still need to pay for an email marketing service on top of your Leadpages Subscription. For example you could consider getting an excellent email marketing and automation tool like GetResponse.
While this is not necessarily a bad thing, you do have to think about the total cost of all of your various tool subscription needs as ultimately this is going to drive you cost of actually doing business online and in turn profitability.
Leadpages Review – Is There A Leadpages Alternative Worth Considering?
As you may have guessed by now – yes there is.
It’s called ClickFunnels.
One of the main benefits of using something like ClickFunnels over Leadpages is that it is far more of a ‘one-stop-shop’ all inclusive platform for all of your various digital marketing needs.
You can find out a detailed review of ClickFunnels Vs Leadpages here.
That said, here are a couple of key things to point out beyond pure technical/feature comparisons.
ClickFunnels Vs Leadpages – Communities
While both tools have an associated fan community, these communities certainly differ in terms of size and more importantly – engagement.
One the one side, ClickFunnels has die-hard Funnelhacker fans and there is very much a sense of community between the 200k members in the ClickFunnels Facebook group in pursuit of online business success.
This has in turn lead to the creation of things like the now infamous 2 Comma Club Award for active ClickFunnels members who have generated over one million dollars through a single funnel within ClickFunnels.
There are also live events like Funnel Hacking Live that really are awesome.
By comparison the Leadpages Facebook group (at the time of writing at least) only has a little over 17k members. In our opinion, despite Leadpages being older than ClickFunnels, its well… just not the same.
We’re just not sure that Leadpages will ever be able to replicate the culture that ClickFunnels has been able to craft so successfully.
ClickFunnels Vs Leadpages – Their Affiliate Programs
Another point of differentiation are the underlying affiliate programs for those people that want to promote either tool.
ClickFunnels currently offers 40% recurring commissions vs the Leadpages 30%.
The Leadpages affiliate program is hosted on Impact.com. Despite being less than ClickFunnels it is still highly competitive and worth checking out.
Leadpages Review – Conclusion
Leadpages is certainly a robust tool that has had significant investment and is here to stay.
It has been designed to help you collect email addresses through landing pages and opt-in forms and it definitely does it well.
That said, if you are looking for a more all-in-one digital marketing platform then we definitely recommend that you check out ClickFunnels instead.
It will help you to have fewer monthly paid subscriptions, you get to be part of an awesome community of entrepreneurs and generally take advantage of the awesome selection of products that ClickFunnels has to offer including the One Funnel Away Challenge for example.
In our opinion it is the quickest way to learn online marketing and to be held accountable / get your first funnel live in just 30 days.
Better yet it provides you with the opportunity to potentially even make money while doing the challenge – now that’s a good ROI.
Oh and did we mention it’s just $100?
The value is just unreal given that it is some of the best training we have ever taken and so really it is an absolute no-brainer!
Enjoy!
